MATERIALITY...WHY?

plaster and ply model - project 2 - design 111
In this project we were given a joint or movement from a part of the human body of which we were to convey the movement of this joint in diagram and in a model.
My approach to this project was to make it as abstract as possible moving away from the initial joint I was given (the jaw).I constructed two very abstract but detailed drawings relating to movement and restriction and carried this through into my model. This was one of my most enjoyable and successful projects. It gave me the chance to work with materials I had never used before which in this case was plaster. The success of this project was through the detail and time I spent and also the way I used the materiality to my advantage.

CREATION...HOW?

I created this VLOG to portray the process of how I created my Real Life Network image and the meaning behind it.

FRIENDSHIP...YOU,ME..US

COMPOSITE IMAGE - pencil drawing + digital photography

I have chosen this handshake as a representation of the real life network I deal with everyday, which is my friends. This demonstrates the stages of interaction between a network of friends. Hand shake's are a symbol of friendship and interaction which link one person to another.

REVIEW...WHO?

From the creation of this blog I have been able to gain an online relationship with class mates and outer design networks. Through this network it has given me great encouragement through peoples' comments. This network has enabled me to grab inspiration from many others with similar and contrasting interests as me.
Overall I believe from this online association with others has pushed my work and brought me and my work to another level. Here are some links to the people I have delt with through this network:
